Clean stuffed animals in 5 steps with Bubu's tricks

You should wash your baby's stuffed animals regularly to prevent the buildup of dirt, dust, bacteria, and mites that can cause allergies and respiratory illnesses.

Additionally, babies often put stuffed animals in their mouths, which increases the risk of transmitting germs and diseases. Therefore, it's important to keep stuffed animals clean and disinfected to protect your baby's health.

To wash them, follow these steps and if you have any questions or concerns, write to us and BUBU will answer them:

  1. Check the labels: Before washing any stuffed animal, check the labels for special washing instructions.

  2. Hand wash: The safest way to wash stuffed animals is by hand, using warm water and mild baby detergent.

  3. Soak the stuffed animal: Dip the stuffed animal in the water and rub gently with your hands.

  4. Rinse well: Make sure to rinse the stuffed animal completely so that no soap residue remains.

  5. Air dry: After washing, gently squeeze the plush to release excess water and let it air dry in a ventilated place.

Important: It is not recommended to wash stuffed animals in the washing machine, as they may fray or become damaged. Also, avoid using a dryer, as the intense heat can damage the animal.

Do you want a deeper cleaning of the stuffed animal?

To disinfect a stuffed animal, follow these steps:

  1. Check the label: Before you begin cleaning your stuffed animal, be sure to read the instructions, especially if it contains electronic components or is very delicate.

  2. Remove dirt: If the stuffed animal has stains or visible dirt, use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove it, avoiding vigorous rubbing or tearing off parts of the toy.

  3. Wash the stuffed animal: If the stuffed animal's label allows it, wash it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and cold water.

  4. Use a laundry disinfectant: If you want a deeper, more thorough clean, add a laundry disinfectant to the wash cycle. This will help eliminate germs and bacteria from the stuffed animal.

  5. Clean additional stains: For tough stains , use a mixture of white vinegar and water, or a stain remover for delicate fabrics, applying it with a soft toothbrush and rinsing with cold water.

  6. Dry the stuffed animal: It is recommended to dry the stuffed animal in the sun.
Always remember to check the tags on the stuffed animal before starting any cleaning, and make sure the toy is completely dry before giving it to your baby.
